GATE at inter airport Europe 2023

At inter airport Europe 2023, GATE, The Airport Technology Network,  presented itself with one of the largest booths at the fair. Twelve association members showcased their latest solutions and technologies.

After Jost Lammers, CEO of Munich Airport, and Nicola Hamann, Managing Director of RX Global, GATE President Kay Bärenfänger addressed the visitors at the official opening of the leading trade fair for the airport industry. He spoke about the latest trends and wished all exhibitors a successful time at the show. Immediately after the opening ceremony, the official tour of inter airport Europe began.

Together with Jost Lammers and Nicola Hamann, Kay Bärenfänger visited the GATE joint stand to give the exhibiting members the opportunity to present their innovations in person. AAT Automation, Atlasavia, Butzbach, Cognitec, Faun, Habasit, Kusch + Co, Lenze SE, PSI Logistics, Seuster, Sick and Smets Technology were happy to share their insights with the airport CEO.

Expertise was also shared on the GATE Innovation Stage, where a number of speakers took the floor. For example, three of the newest members, Schneider Electric, HeatVentors and E.ON Drive, took to the stage to talk about airport electrification and sustainability. Angus Baigent, Hamburg Aviation, & Julian Klaaßen, Hamburg Airport, gave an insight into the City of Hamburg's current hydrogen projects.

A long-standing tradition continued at inter airport Europe 2023: the Happy Hour on the first three days of the exhibition. This time the music duo SUPER SONG COLLECTIVE ensured that exhibitors and guests could network in the best possible atmosphere.

Another first at inter airport Europe: The third issue of the association's magazine "GATE Inspire" was published just in time for the start of the show.

The association's presence at inter airport 2023 was undoubtedly a great success. But most importantly, the exhibitors on the joint stand are also very satisfied: "This was our first time at inter airport Europe and it was very successful for us. With the support of GATE, we achieved a very market penetrating effect," comments Roman Kaiser, CEO of AAT Automation.

"This edition was definitely better than 2019. Visitors had more time and were better prepared. We had many conversations with existing customers and also welcomed many international guests to our booth," summarizes André Beck, Senior Project & Maintenance Manager and Sales Airport at PSI Logistics GmbH.

"The fair was very valuable for us. Here I meet my sales partners and initialize new projects", said Ingmar Krupp,  Head of Airport Division at Kusch+Co.
